We would like to inform you that the popular sightseeing bus "Asochiho," connecting Aso and Takachiho, will introduce a new route and revised timetable starting July 1st, 2026.

Previously, the bus departed from Aso Station, traveled along Route 57 via Minamiaso Village and Takamori Town, and arrived at Takachiho Bus Center.
From July 1st, the route will be changed to travel from Aso Station via:
・Kusasenri Volcano Museum
・Aso Sanjo Terminal (Mt. Aso Summit Terminal)
・Shirakawa Spring
・Takamori Yusui Tunnel Park
・Takamori Station
before arriving at Takachiho Bus Center.

This new route provides more convenient access from Aso Station to some of the area's most popular sightseeing spots!
In addition, the earliest bus from Aso Station to the Kusasenri area is currently the 9:40 AM departure. From July 1st, however, the 9:05 AM Asochiho service will become the earliest available bus.

Take this opportunity to enjoy a trip through the Aso and Takachiho areas with the newly improved Asochiho service!
